Your money, your data. Full stop.

Centumi doesn’t sell data, show ads, or run third-party analytics. We store only what’s needed to run the app for you, and we encrypt your most sensitive numbers before they ever touch our database. Last updated July 19, 2026.

Income, savings goals, and investments are encrypted at rest

Your income amounts, savings goal targets and balances, and investment holding values are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they’re written to the database — field by field, with a unique random IV and authentication tag per value. The database itself never holds these numbers in plain text; the encryption key is held separately from the data it protects.

Day-to-day expenses and fixed costs (the things you’d see on a bank statement anyway) are stored as plain numbers so the app can total and chart them quickly. Everything is scoped to your account and protected by the same authentication and access controls either way.

We don't collect what we don't need

Centumi has no ad network, no third-party analytics or tracking pixels, and no data broker relationships. We don’t sell, rent, or share your financial information with anyone for marketing purposes — ever. The only information we hold is what you give us by using the app: your account details and the expenses, income, budgets, goals, and investments you enter.

What we store, and why

  • Account info — email and name, used for sign-in and to identify your data.
  • Expenses & fixed costs — amount, category, merchant, and date, so Today, History, and Reports can work.
  • Income, goals & investments — encrypted as described above, used to power your Dashboard and planning pages.
  • Sync metadata — timestamps that let your phone and web app stay in sync without duplicating entries.

Where it lives

Your account and authentication are handled by Supabase; your data is stored in a managed Postgres database. Both are infrastructure providers, not marketing partners — they process data on our behalf under their own security commitments and don’t use it for anything beyond running Centumi.

Mobile-first, offline by design

The mobile app stores your expenses locally first and syncs when you’re back online — your data isn’t stuck in the cloud waiting to be useful, and it’s never in flight to a third party you haven’t heard of.

Your rights

You can request an export or permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from Settings, or by emailing us. Deletion removes your records from our production database; we don’t retain financial data after an account is closed.
